Spotify unveils the new RapCaviar, a one-stop-shop to discover the best in hip hop. Go beyond just the music and experience the stories of the artists that make hip hop one of the world’s most popular genres.
Every Friday, the enhanced RapCaviar goes deep into the world of hip hop combining the top songs and video to bring hip hop heads closer to the music they love. From 2 Chainz visiting Dr. Miami to assist him with a butt-lift surgery to Sza hanging out in the woods and talking about her rise to fame, or Wale getting a gourmet meal from a five-star weed chef, the playlist will feature new video content from music videos to exclusive interviews and so much more.
“The new RapCaviar is all about connecting the fans to the culture,” said Tuma Basa, global programming head of hip hop at Spotify. “It’s not just about the songs. It’s about the work that goes into the tracks, the visual representations and the greater context behind these moments in time.”
RapCaviar is the first flagship playlist to receive the all star treatment, which includes a brand refresh as as well as the RapCaviar Live Tour, with the first show taking place on Saturday, August 12 in Atlanta with Gucci Mane and Mike WiLL Made-It and friends.
The new RapCaviar is available in the U.S. on both mobile (iOS & Android) and desktop for free and premium users. Check it out here. For the latest, be sure to follow the new official RapCaviar Instagram account here.
