SoundCloud offers creators deeper stats
This post comes from SoundCloud’s blog.
We’re thrilled to roll out a new stat for creators, which shows where and how often a creator’s tracks are receiving plays from SoundCloud’s algorithmic recommendation features, Related Tracks, Stations and The Upload – SoundCloud’s discovery feature bringing users a daily, personalized list of the freshest new music uploaded to the platform. This gives creators deeper insight into the sources behind where their plays are coming from.
So how can creators get more plays? The first step is by uploading more tracks. The more creators upload, the more likely they’ll be included in these features, which promote tracks to listeners who we know are going to be a creator’s next fan.
The new stat will be available beginning today on the web and on SoundCloud Pulse, SoundCloud’s creator-focused companion app.
Take a look below to see what the new stats module looks like on the web, as well as on mobile via SoundCloud Pulse, which is available for free on iOS and Android.
We know stats are essential for creators to help build and grow their fan base and career, and the plays from algorithmic sources stat is the latest in our efforts to expand our stats offering, and follows other recent updates including a playlist stat and top listeners, cities and countries stat to Pulse.
We’re continuously working toward providing a more granular look for creators, with as much insight as possible as to where creators track plays are coming from on the platform, right down to the feature where listeners are discovering and playing their tracks. Creators can also look to our creator subscription offerings, SoundCloud Pro or SoundCloud Pro Unlimited, which offers web page and app source stats, for even more insights.
Check back soon to the blog for even more news on what we’re doing for creators to provide them an even better experience on SoundCloud.
