Listen to Jamie xx’s Beats 1 ‘American Road Trip’ Mix
Jamie xx stopped by to drop off an excellent mix for the Beats 1 show on Apple Music this past weekend, as he embarks on his North American tour.
“Currently on the road in America, touring, playing in lots of different cities,” Jamie says, to introduce the mix’s theme. “I made this mixtape as sort of an accompaniment to the road.”
The tour is Jamie’s first since ‘road trip’ through the States since the release his acclaimed album, In Colour, featuring Young Thug-assisted summer anthem “Good Times,” and “Just Saying,” which kicks off the Beats 1 mix, alongside new tracks and old favorites by Deadboy, Apparat, The War on Drugs, Holden, The Persuasians, Pedro Aguiar, The Doors and The Durutti Column.
