Deezer Brings You The Next Big Act With Deezer NEXT
This is an announcement from Deezer’s blog.
Discovering an artist that makes your heart soar, puts a spring in your step and adds color to your daily routine is as rare as it is wonderful. Here at Deezer we know the feeling; finding that gem that will change your perception of music, listening to it on repeat and wanting to share your discovery with the world. We too believe that rare talent should be shared for people to love and enjoy which is why we have created #DeezerNEXT, a new program to support emerging artists. Deezer NEXT is all about supporting the next generation of great music and helping you find your next favorite artist.
Deezer will work directly with the chosen artists and their crew to bring you hot exclusive content, pre-releases, playlists, private shows and much more.
To launch our first ever Deezer NEXT we’ve picked three up-and-coming artists: Rag’n’Bone Man, Maggie Rogers and Anne-Marie. They’re set to be some of the hottest acts of 2017 and Deezer is thrilled to accompany them on their artistic journey.
Rory Graham, aka Rag’n’ Bone man, is a 32-year-old British singer-songwriter who recently debuted his first single ‘Human’. His music is a mixture of blues and rock with a hip hop edge. His sensuous voice and confrontational lyrics blend the raw sexuality of The Black Keys with Cee Lo Green’s neo soul influences.
First known for her viral hit ‘Alaska’, Maggie Rogers is a singer-songwriter who caught the ears of Pharrell Williams with her unique combination of folk, dance and R’n’B. A video of Williams being visibly impressed by Roger’s talent was released in June and rapidly went viral. Maggie describes herself as an optimist and a devout environmentalist. ‘Alaska’ was composed in 15 minutes and describes one of her many hiking trips and her love of nature.
25-year-old wunderkind Anne-Marie is no stranger to the spotlight. Her career began when she was just 6 years old, appearing in two West End productions, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Whistle Down the Wind’. In early 2016, she released ‘Do It Right’ and more recently she featured on Clean Bandit’s single ‘Rockabye’ with Sean Paul.
